During my childhood, my hometown was a perfect place for photography. Birgu has incredible lighting in it's narrow street, great architecture of various times of the Maltese history, and a year full of activities.

When I was 15 I got my first SLR camera, a Zenit complete with a wide angle and telephoto lens. I start shooting and experimenting in exposures and shutter speeds.

Later, at the age of about 20 an opportunity has been given to me with a local renowned photographer mostly in weddings and photo shoots. I start working as a digital manipulator on part-time basis for Photo Model '90. During the 10 year service I was responsible for enhancing photos shot and also for creating digital photos and coffee table Digital Photo books. During these years Joe Zammit Photographer and owner of the mentioned shop has been teaching me in detail lighting and more over posing individuals. He also introduced me in MIPP (Malta Institute of Professional Photographers) where I have been accepted. I attended several seminars in photography during my membership with the Institute, here I enhanced my skills.

During the same years I also bought my first Digital SLR cameras a Nikon D100 and a Nikon D70 with several lenses. I started shooting as a hobbyist, shooting architecture, events, and family occasions, These help me to gain confidence with people and the cameras. Later I joined a group of Photographers and models and each month we used to shoot models at various themes.

Now that I gained confidence and had a good eye for a photo I started shooting Photo Shoots, Baptisms, Holy Confirmation shoots. Holy Communion shoots etc. In the meantime I also upgraded my equipment and bought another 2 DSLR cameras Nikon D700 and D7000 and F2.8 lenses.

Later I also worked as a Press Photographer for one of the newspapers in Malts - The Malta Independent. During my press work I shoot several big events such as CHOGM, The Royal Visit in Malta, several Local Elections, Isle of MTV Concerts, other Big Concerts, International Football games and much more. I also represent an International News agency here in Malta.
